Mark Jacobson
Mark first became interested in genealogy research in the 1980’s when Mark first saw a photo of ancestors and came to the realization that they were real people who lived in America and must have left a paper trail. On a 1983 trip to Philadelphia, Mark acquired his first record request form.
Mark has a deep understanding of the Jewish American immigrant experience and the history of the life of Jewish people in Eastern Europe. With a BA with honors in History from Brooklyn College and an MS in Education with a Specialization in Counseling with distinction from Hofstra University, Mark realized that he had the research skills to pursue genealogy as a profession. After years of volunteering in the field, his experience led him to become a well-respected genealogy expert upon becoming a professional in 2012.

Leslie Jacobson
Leslie first became interested in genealogy research in 1991 when records from the Soviet Union regarding the Holocaust became available through the Red Cross. After filling out paperwork requesting information about family and not receiving any information, Leslie became focused on finding out whatever possible regarding family members murdered in the Holocaust.
Life took Leslie in a different direction, but genealogy research remained a cherished hobby. By 2012 Leslie realized that the scientific research skills she had acquired in graduate school, while earning her MA in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Brooklyn College and
MS in Education with a Specialization in Counseling with distinction from Hofstra University, would be a huge asset as she became a professional genealogist.
